This was my first with Kelsey and I loved her from the start. She’s attentive and listens to your concerns or ideas with the willingness to work with you on what works and doesn’t. The appointment seemed fine at first. She was cordial, came in right away. I came in for paperwork for both FMLA papers and to obtain physicians statement for disability retirement. I had origionally tried to get specialist to write it, but he didn't want to look or talk about it and referred me to PCP for it. I tried to make appt with Dr. Farrias but it was over a month out for that appt so agreed to seeing NP because I was having problems with unrealistic expectations of my physical health that couldn't really wait a month. There didn't seem be any problems with the medical judgement the NP had, the issue was mostly after the appointment with paperwork. During the appointment she was writing the note on the computer while talking to me, she had my papers for instructions and requirements for a disability retirement. I have Cardiomyopathy and work in a federal law enforcement position. I didn't know what was written in the requirements at the time because they were across the room next to her. She was writing the note while talking to me did seem to read sentence by sentence as she's writing- though I feel things get a little lost in transition sometimes and one or two things were a little different than reported due to perception (that's pretty normal). So she leaves says they'll print paperwork now. They give me back my papers, plus the notes and I leave. I get home and I read the things together and I'm like woah, this is not what they're asking for in the instructions and the note appeared rushed to me. So I call the call center and get a callback from the tech, I say this wasn't done correctly. I emailed an example while following the instructions of what it should look like- just to make it quicker. The note wasn't numbered and left a lot of info out. They call back and say the notes been updated and I can pick it up. I go back up there and look at the note, and it's still not done correctly. I tell the registration girl. I said "Do I just need to get a physician to do this? I will just schedule with them if I need to." Registration said she would talk to NP about it. I said "Ok, just me so I know what to do." NP Adams calls and immediately starts talking with an attitude and sounding angry. "Valerie. This Kelsey Adams. I read you the note in the room to make it was right." I didn't have the instructions when I was in the room, she did but I did notice that she was now trying to place the blame on me for this. I say how it's missing lab results, treatments ,ect. NP pulls up copy of the instructions and reads "Please provide on your letterhead stationary... It is important that you respond to every item listed. Enter the item number of the information requested and provide your response." I say "Yes. I'm interpreting that as it needs to be numberized." She then says "I do not have to put a number next to it!" I said "I just need to see the physician." She was rude, and couldnt see or admit her own error.

She didn’t tell me anything about my records never being sent over from my other Dr. I assumed when I filled out all the info, they would be sent over. So that caused me to have issues getting my main medicine. I’m now 2 months, still trying to figure it out. She acted as if I could get it right away as long as the Dr approved it. That’s not the case. That’s been a disaster. If she would’ve told me from the beginning they would need my records & that they don’t normally receive them, I would’ve been on top of making sure my records were sent to them so I’d have my meds right away.
