Biography

Growing up, health care wasn't accessible for my family because we lived below the poverty level. Becoming a part of the health care industry as a family practice provider, one of my priorities is to give back to my community through education, volunteer work and mentor opportunities.
After graduating from nursing school at University of Texas at Arlington, I worked in the ICU as a critical care nurse. I saw patients suffer from disabilities and even death that could have been prevented had they sought medical care sooner. Early detection and education are key factors in helping people live long and healthy lives. As a family nurse practitioner, I help guide patients on their wellness journeys. My hope is to empower them with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their health.
My favorite part of being a provider is when I feel the connection with patients. I want my patients to feel respected and empowered, to come to me without shame or guilt. To feel comfortable in the space I've created for them and come to me with questions. That's what being a provider means to me.
I love Texas and have lived here all my life. I was born in Arlington and raised in Grand Prairie. Now, I live in Fort Worth with my family. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at a free clinic, playing board games with friends and spending time outdoors with family.
