Biography

Amber Peterson, PA, embraces general medicine because it allows her to focus on preventive care and whole-person treatment. Shared decision-making, effective listening and trusting relationships are her philosophy regarding exceptional patient care.

PA Peterson was born in Waterville, Maine, and moved to East Texas when she was three. She decided to pursue a career in health care after watching one of her grandmothers succumb to poor health and die at an early age. She's had a lifelong interest in general health, disease processes and treatment and feels highly passionate about diabetes, preventive care and geriatrics. She earned her PA degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and is board-certified by the NCCPA.

PA Peterson's favorite aspect of being a PA is having the opportunity to impact her patients' lives positively and introduce them to tools and resources that have the potential to improve their general well-being. She currently lives in Blanco, Texas, where she enjoys exploring nature, crafting and spending quality time with her husband, children, dogs and cats.
