Biography

Allyson Larkin, MD, strives to understand her patients’ goals and challenges in developing their individualized treatment plans. Her specialty is healing chronic and complicated wounds, which she enjoys because it requires great attention to detail.

Dr. Larkin was inspired to pursue a career in medicine because she was fascinated with the human body and loved helping people achieve better health. She earned her medical degree at Texas A&M College of Medicine and completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospitals. Diabetes, geriatrics, palliative care and preventive care are her top clinical interests and passions.

Dr. Larkin’s favorite aspect of being a medical doctor is partnering closely with patients and celebrating with them as they move through the healing process. She lives in Corpus Christi with her husband, with whom she has three grown children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, cooking, running, hiking, biking, playing with her dog and spending quality time with family.
