Biography

Guillermo Rocha, MD, believes that the key to exceptional care is understanding patients on a cultural level and helping them discover the root causes of their unique challenges. Internal medicine allows him to better serve adults and slow their disease progression.

Dr. Rocha was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua, until he moved to Waco, Texas, at age 13. He completed his undergraduate work at Baylor University in Waco. He then completed his medical residency at the University of Texas at Houston. After medical school, he completed a fifth pathway year at Rush Medical College. His favorite aspect of practicing medicine is speaking one-on-one with patients and educating them about their conditions so they can play a more active role in their own health.

Dr. Rocha lives in San Antonio with his wife, with whom he has three adult children. Outside of work, Dr. Rocha serves his local church and engages in his favorite hobbies, including gardening, genealogy and collecting. He also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
