Alberto Ruiz, MD

Alberto Ruiz, MD, is a family medicine specialist. His approach to patient care is to earn respect and trust so he can help patients get well. He strives to treat each patient like his own family.

Dr. Ruiz first became interested in medicine as a teenager in Donna, TX. He went to medical school at Michigan State University and returned to Texas for the residency program at Texas Tech University Health Science Center - Permian Basin. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Ruiz chose family medicine for the opportunity to treat a wide range of patients. He is proud to be providing medical care in South Texas because it’s how he gives back to the community where he grew up. In his spare time, Dr. Ruiz enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
