Biography

James Steven Childers, MD, is an internal medicine physician who completed medical school and residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. His philosophy focuses on developing long-term relationships with his patients.

Dr. Childers was inspired to pursue a medical career after observing his parents and grandparents interact with their internal medicine physicians. He chose the specialty of internal medicine to care for and develop relationships with adult patients as they progress through their aging process.

Dr. Childers is a Texas native. He is married and enjoys watching college and professional sports and attending local TCU sporting events. Clinically, he is interested in helping manage allergies, arthritis, asthma, COPD, depression, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, musculoskeletal conditions and thyroid disorders. He is also passionate about preventive medicine and geriatric care. He is board-certified by the American Board Of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
