We started out on shaky ground. I came in as a new patient in [omitted] with symptoms of heartburn and heavy chest with slight upper arm pain. She referred me to a gastroenterologist for the heartburn. Luckily, when I told him the same symptoms, he immediately referred me back to her for a cardiology appointment. Based on my cardiologist taking an active role in identifying the problems with my heart, I ended up having quintuple bypass surgery in [omitted]. Although she has been fine since that serious outcome, my ending could have been drastically different, or resulted in death due to her lack of cautious diagnosis. As I mentioned, since that incident in [omitted], she has been much more attentive to my needs.
