About

Temukisa Young-Henley, MD, understands that all patients come from different backgrounds and tailors their care plans to their belief systems. She enjoys working with multi-generations. Hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes are some of her many clinical interests.

Dr. Young-Henley was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado, to parents who served as missionaries in Africa. She grew up spending lots of time in hospitals visiting her ill mother and was inspired to become a doctor so she could make a difference in the lives of others. She attended the University of Florida College of Medicine to earn her medical degree and completed her residency at Advent Health Orlando.

Interacting with patients and observing how evidence-based medicine improves chronic conditions are Dr. Young-Henley’s favorite aspects of serving as a medical doctor. She has practiced geriatric medicine in central Florida for more than two decades and feels honored to serve this population. Dr. Young-Henley currently lives in Maitland, Florida with her husband and three children, and enjoys hiking, fishing, water activities and spending quality time with her family.
