I'm very unhappy with this provider. - Her facial expressions were flat and at times indicating confusing, and her tone was as if she was talking to someone who was clueless: Usually they just tell people to avoid dairy, and have alternatives, so "soy..." - She was not listening: I told her I needed to get with someone to fax my radiology order to river health (a subscription service through my workplace), and she said I could just bring the lab order to the place and it will work - She clearly didn't review my chart/records before entering or even before she asked questions like "[The student—sorry I forgot her name] indicated that you might be latase intolerant?" (I've mentioned it multiple times across my visits and she acted as though it was the first time she heard of it. It should also be recorded in my file because I've brought in this medication before, and had a discussion about a dietition before andlt;— at her mention.) I've experienced this provider multiple times at this point. At first, I was hopeful that we would be collaborative about my health when I had my very first appointment. The next time I thought she was just having an off day. But this time, I've had it. Her approach put me in a defensive position, and I had to be careful not to get verbally angry with her for the way she was speaking to me. (With a student/intern/someone who was learning on the job present—by the way the student treated me with more compassion than Melissa did.) It felt like speaking to me was a "chore" for her. I'm so frustrated, disappointed, and taken aback by this experience. (Note: Low rating for Wellmed only given because of this provider.)

I like Melissa Ashley as a nurse practioner but I would appreciate that United Health give me the courtesy as a patient to assign me to a doctor that I can feel free to discuss my medical concerns bc I have not had a doctor for quite some time! When Doctor Ragland was at well med Saratoga I saw her one time in a year n now she’s being moved to Northwest. Im thinking to another well med that can meet my medical needs n concerns! Thank you for letting me voice my concerns!

I really like Melissa. Of all the nurses there, I think she is terrific. Melissa is professional and very knowledgeable about very difficult topics. I recently had a boil in a private area and it was excruciatingly painful. She was exactly correct and it cleared up as she perceived would occur. Believe it or not, I did not have an issue going over this with her because she was SO professional.
