I appreciate that Dr. Leyva discusses treatment options with me rather than just suggesting one option and pushing that on me. He takes his time and listens to my concerns and takes them into consideration. I have had several appointments with Dr. Leva and never have I felt that he was rushing through the appointment.

Dr. Leyva goes through lab results in detail, makes sure medications are updated, submits my medication refills and goes over my chart to make sure he has all my medical history.

I have been with him for many years now and he takes his time and listens to any questions asked., and asks questions he may have. I wouldn't want any other unless he was no longer available of course. All of his patients love him - he is one of the most caring people I know. Also now he is with WellMed - the visits are better timed with no long wait upon arrival - a big plus!! He is now located at the [omitted] location which is located a long way from the [omitted] location very close to my home. However I no complaints - well worth the drive though not too bad timewise. I can still have lab work done by appt. at the Kenworth location which is great.

This was my first visit with Dr Leyva. He made me feel like he had been my doctor for at least 10 years. He discussed all my ailments, discussed my medications, wrote out a prescription for lab testing. He made me feel very comfortable and even discussed the fact he was from El Paso and attended UTEP. Attending UTEP and returning to his hometown to practice medicine made me feel that he truly cared for his patients. What a jewel of a person Well Med has!

Very knowledgeable Dr. but wait times in the lobby and private room are extremely long (2 hours or more) only to have a face to face with the Dr. for about 15 minutes max. I was referred by Dr. Leyve to a specialist but have not been able to make contact with that office to schedule an appointment. I have called that office several times, left voice messages and even text messages and still no response. I'm going to find a specialist on my own.

He is very dedicated and I can think of no other physician I would rather have. He never rushes and takes takes his time with the examination and is most thorough. Listens to questions and explains in detail any tests he may have ordered in detail (i.e. blood tests etc.) and any recommendations he may have. A very caring and kind gentleman!
