Biography

Sandra Urrego, MD, treats her patients holistically, encompassing their mental, physical and emotional health needs. This approach to medicine allows her to get to know her patients personally.

Dr. Urrego received her medical degree in Bogota, Columbia, where she was born and raised. There was a dire need for medical professionals in her home country, which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. She is passionate about helping others and enjoys making a difference in someone’s quality of life and health. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

During every patient interaction, Dr. Urrego strives to actively listen to her patients and be receptive to their unique needs. She has a special interest in preventive health and women’s health. Today, Dr. Urrego resides in McAllen, Texas. In her spare time, she enjoys time at the beach, exercising, traveling, reading, and quality time with her friends and family.
