Biography

E. Roberto Chinea, MD, has always been passionate about caring for others. As a health care provider, he is proud to help patients overcome health challenges and improve their quality of life.

Dr. Chinea enjoys the complexities of internal medicine and uses his expertise to provide patients with up-to-date care. During each visit, he ensures that patients understand the risks and advantages of various health care strategies Dr. Chinea knows that coping with medical problems can be overwhelming. He takes time to reassure his patients so they can feel confident about their prognosis.

Dr. Chinea graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine at Baltimore. He honed his skills during his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Originally from Puerto Rico, he has made San Antonio his home for many years, living with his wife of forty years and their three adult sons. When he's not at work, Dr. Chinea enjoys reading, exercising and volunteering at his church.
